KYIV, July 8 – Ukraine's foreign exchange reserves in June increased by 12.4% on the money to $28.51 billion after receiving a tranche from the International Monetary Fund, data released by the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) show.
"The last time they were at this level in the fall of 2012. A significant increase in reserves over the past month was due to both the receipt of the first tranche of the new program with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and related financing, and the increase in the purchase of currency by the NBU in the interbank foreign exchange market," the report says.
