KYIV, June 25 – The Ukrainian Grain Association (UGA) estimates a grain and oilseeds crop in Ukraine by the end of 2020 at the level of 97 million tons compared to 98 million tons in 2019.
“We went into the spring with a catastrophic level of moisture in the soil. But in the last month and a half the amount of rain fell, which completely compensated for the whole deficiency. Wheat and barley look good, corn brilliantly, this year there are the best conditions for it. Arid events in the south of Odesa region will not bring a significant negative effect on the whole country. We expect a grain and oilseed harvest of 97 million tons this year," President of UGA Mykola Horbachev said at a press conference in Kyiv.
