KYIV, June 25 – The State Nuclear Regulatory Inspectorate of Ukraine has renewed the license for the processing of uranium ores by state-owned enterprise Skhidny Ore Mining and Processing Plant (Skhidny Mining, Zhovti Vody, Dnipropetrovsk region).
According to the inspectorate's press service, the corresponding decision was made on June 22.
"Given the strategic importance of Skhidny Mining for the state, as a single enterprise in Ukraine, producing and processing industrial uranium ores, the inspectorate extended the license for processing uranium ores on June 22, 2020, taking into account the temporary security measures introduced by SOE Skhidny Mining," the inspectorate said.
