KYIV, June 24 - Certification of Ukrenergo as Independent System Operator (ISO) is not feasible in the near future, Director of the Energy Community Secretariat Janez Kopac has said.

In his presentation posted on the website of the Energy Community Secretariat on June 22 he recalled that the company cannot be certified under the ownership unbundling (OU) model, as it is not the owner of the transmission system and the company manages the transmission assets on the basis of the economic management. This model is politically not acceptable, according to the document.
