KYIV, June 15 – Ukraine’s grain crops look optimistic, but the harvest of fruit and berry crops this year is expected to be poor, Head of the agrometeorological department of the Weather Center of Ukraine Tetiana Adamenko said.
"Speaking of a group of early grains, I note that there is enough moisture throughout Ukraine," she told Interfax-Ukraine.
In general, according to Adamenko, the situation looks quite optimistic. Early grain crops in some areas are expected to be at or above last year's level. At the same time, crop loss is possible in most of the Odesa region, and in Mykolaiv, Kherson and Zaporizhia regions, where the crop is expected to be below the average for five years.
