Group raises concerns about plans to slap tariff on Russian diesel, LNG imports
Journal Staff Report

KYIV, June 12 – The initiatives of Ukrainian oil refineries to introduce an 8.5% duty on Russian supplies of diesel fuel and liquefied natural gas (LPG) will increase procurement prices, destroy a stable petroleum supply system, and also lead to the appearance of new mega-suppliers with an increased market share, the Ukrainian Oil and Gas Association said.

The association said that there is an increasing pressure of petroleum refining and producing companies on Ukrainian authorities in order to increase their market share through non-market mechanisms, as a result of which consumers and the country's security of energy supply will be hit.
