KYIV, June 11 – Non-food retailers operating as part of shopping and entertainment centers in the first two weeks after quarantine show a significant drop in traffic and turnover, while some stores in street retail show an increase in the figures.
"Our DeFacto stores in trade centers cannot reach more than 70% of pre-quarantine sales, which means minus 30% in sales and a drop in some stores of up to 45-50%. But at the same time, our stores in street retail show a 30% increase, especially last week. Some even grew by 50%. This means that people are not afraid to shop in the open air. Therefore, developers, landlords are now thinking about investing in the construction of half-open malls," Serdar Ersoy, the director of the Turkish fashion chain DeFacto, said at online conference.
