KYIV, June 9 – A sharp increase in temperature led to a quick ripening of fruits and vegetables, respectively, a large offer of seasonal products appeared in the market, according to the Ukrainian Horticultural Association.

"The increase in the average daily temperature throughout almost all of Ukraine led to an increase in the supply of zucchini, cucumbers, stone fruits and some berries. In the southern regions, this led to the fact that in the wholesale markets zucchini is already sold at UAH 1-2 per kg. Such prices were fixed by analysts from the EastFruit analytic platform in the wholesale market of Nezhdana (Kopani) in Kherson region," Kateryna Zvereva, the director for development at the association, told Interfax-Ukraine.
