KYIV, June 9 – Ukraine will seek help from the European Union for ways of reforming the coal mining industry in order to avoid social disruptions and massive layoffs, the Energy and Environmental Protection Ministry said.

Olha Buslavets, acting energy minister, met Matti Maasikas, the Head of the EU Delegation to Ukraine, to share its plans for reforms.
