KYIV, June 8 - If the presidential elections were held in Ukraine in the near future, 40.9% of Ukrainians surveyed said they would vote for the current head of state, Volodymyr Zelenskiy.
Results of a survey conducted by the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology (KIIS) from April 26 to April 30 show some 15.7% of Ukrainians would vote for Petro Poroshenko, Ukraine's fifth president and a member of parliament and the leader of the European Solidarity Party. Ihor Smeshko, who leads the Strength and Honor Party, would garner 9.2% of the votes, according to the poll.
