KYIV, June 5 – A group of Democratic and Republican senators, including Ted Cruz, Jeanne Shaheen, John Barrasso, with the support of Tom Cotton and Ron Johnson, submitted a bipartisan bill to the U.S. Senate to expand sanctions against the construction of Nord Stream 2 pipeline, Interfax-Ukraine reported.

The proposed draft law expands the sanctions that were imposed against the construction of Nord Stream 2 under the U.S. law "Protectiing Europe's Energy Security," which entered into force in December 2019.
