KYIV, June 4 – The Cabinet of Ministers approved the draft amendments to the 2020 national budget on the provision of government guarantees of Ukrhydroenergo for the implementation of projects to finish the third stage of Dnistrovska pumped storage plant (PSP) and the construction of Kaniv PSP with minor revision.

"In order to ensure stable operation of the power system, there is an urgent need for the construction of maneuverable facilities. The decision has already been made to finish the third stage of Dnistrovska PSP and the construction of Kaniv PSP. Ukrhydroenergo is looking for sources of financing for such construction and signed several memorandums with foreign companies," acting Minister of Energy and Environment Protection Olha Buslavets said, presenting the draft amendments to the law on the national budget.
