KYIV, June 3 – The European Investment Bank (EIB) will provide a EUR300 million loan for a project on the energy efficiency of public buildings in Ukraine under an agreement with the Ministry for Communities and Territories Development on cooperation in consultations within preparing the project.

"The Ministry of Ukraine for Communities and Territories Development and the European Investment Bank have signed an agreement according to which preparations will be made for the provision of a low interest loan of EUR300 million with a long repayment term for the introduction of large-scale thermal modernization of public sector buildings. In particular, thermal modernization will be carried out by installing modern energy efficiency equipment, meters and control systems, modernization of heating, ventilation, lighting systems, etc.," first deputy minister Vasyl Lozynsky said.
