KYIV, June 1 – GE Renewable Energy (GE) and EuroCape Ukraine LLC have started installing first-stage wind turbines with a capacity of 98 MW at Zaporizhia wind power station, the Energy Reform online portal reports.
According to GE's press release, posted on the website of the Ukrainian Wind Energy Association, the first phase of the project involves the installation of 27 GE wind generators with a capacity of 3.6 MW each and a tower height of 110 meters with a rotor diameter of 137 meters. It is also planned to build its own substation and lay high-voltage power grids with a capacity of 330 kV.
