KYIV, June 1 – The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and the Energy Community standing ready to help Ukraine in the creation of the Gas Exchange and noted strong progress towards the establishment of a well-functioning gas exchange by the Ukrainian Energy Exchange (UEEX).

"The gas exchange in Ukraine is definitely not a pipedream but close cooperation and a strong commitment of all market participants is needed. In order to support the development, the EBRD and the Energy Community will join forces," the EBRD and the Energy Community said in a presentation of Director of Natural Resources Team at EBRD Eric Rasmussen, Energy economist for the Region at EBRD Giuseppe Grimaldi and Gas Expert, Energy Community Secretariat Gregor Weinzettel.
