KYIV, May 27 – After feed-in tariffs expire in 2030, the owners of home solar stations will most likely be able to freely enter the electricity market and sell their resources in it, Yuriy Shafarenko, the director of the of renewable energy and alternative fuels department at the State Agency on Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving, has said.
"There is no final answer to the question of what will happen to home solar plants after 2030, when support in the form of feed-in tariffs is over, but I'm sure that they will be able to create competition for large generation, not only solar, but also coal, to enter the market, sell electricity there and get money for it," he said during a webinar on investing in renewable energy projects organized by IBCentre.
