KYIV, May 26 – Ukraine's economy probably contracted 12% on the year in April, worsening following 4.5% contraction in March and may result in 10% contraction for the entire 2020, the ICU Group reported.
"According to our estimates, based on data published by the State Statistics Service last week, the contraction of the economy widened to 12% year-on-year in April from 4.5% in March. Passenger traffic almost stopped, the decline in industrial production, trade and freight transport increased, only agriculture has remained resistant to crisis," Head of Macroeconomic Research at ICU Serhiy Nikolaychuk said.
