KYIV, May 26 – Productive moisture reserves under winter crops in the tilth-top soil in most areas of the western, northern, central, in some areas of the eastern regions of Ukraine as of May 20 were within optimal range (21-45 mm of productive moisture), UkrAgroConsult analytical agency said citing the National Weather Center.
"In most areas of the eastern, some areas of the southern, central, Sumy, Kyiv and Volyn regions, moisture reserves remained insufficient (11-20 mm), in the southern, some areas of Donetsk, Luhansk, Kharkiv and Cherkasy regions the reserves were unsatisfactory (less than 10 mm of productive moisture). In some areas in Zaporizhia, Odesa and Kherson regions, the tilth-top soil was completely dry," UkrAgroConsult said in a statement on its website on Monday, May 25.
