KIEV, Sept. 4 ??“ Steel pipe output in Ukraine has risen 10.6% through Aug. 31 versus the same period last year to 1.7 million tons, including 240,400 tons in August, Dnipropetrovsk-based Ukrtruboprom association of pipe manufacturers told Interfax.

Ukrtruboprom said the sector worked steadily during the period, but that the European Union's duties on imported pipes and Russia's plans to slap a duty of 8% on large-diameter pipes were potential destabilizing factors.
