KYIV, May 13 – The Cabinet of Ministers has lifted a ban on export of ethyl alcohol (as a raw material for medical purposes and the pharmaceutical industry) from Ukraine from May 15 instead of the previously set deadline on June 1.
The government adopted the corresponding changes to the resolution at a meeting on May 13.
According to an explanatory note to the draft cabinet resolution, available to Interfax-Ukraine, the production capacities of Ukrainian distilleries amount to about 600 million liters of ethyl alcohol per year, in particular the production capacities of Ukrspyrt state enterprise are about 300 million liters per year.
