KYIV, May 7 – Power consumption in Ukraine in April decreased by 7.8% compared to the same month last year, to 9.028 billion kW, the transmission system operator Ukrenergo reported on its website.
According to its data, over the specified period, industry consumed 3.806 billion kWh (10.5% less compared to April 2019), the population 2.875 billion kWh (1.3% less), municipal companies 1.015 billion kWh (12.3% less), transport 452 million kWh (16.9% down), the construction industry 75 million kWh (7.4% down), other non-industrial consumers 531 million kWh (9.4% less). In turn, the agricultural industry increased its consumption by 6.2%, to 274 million kWh.
