KIEV, Sept. 1 - Ukraine??™s state-owned natural gas supplier Gaz Ukrayiny has reduced supplies of natural gas to the country??™s biggest utility, KievEnergo, by 40%, Gaz Ukrayiny said Friday.

Gaz Ukrayiny reduced the supplies to a technological minimum, which allows the utility to run all of its power and heat production equipment without disruptions. The supplies were reduced to 3.3 million cubic meters of gas per day, down from 5.7 million cubic meters/day, as the utility failed to provide full payments for gas consumed earlier this year, the company said.
