KYIV, April 27 – Rivne NPP is preparing to shut down power unit No. 3 soon due to a predicted increase of balanced capacity limitations for nuclear power plants (NPPs) at the end of April, Energoatom reported.

The nuclear unit is planned to put on standby in order to reduce the negative consequences for the equipment of NPP power units from operation at low capacity. This will be carried out after the scheduled repair is completed and the TG-3 turbine generator is connected to the network at power unit No. 2 of the Rivne NPP.
