KYIV, April 22 – Ukraine has opened access to digital passports that will allow Ukrainian citizens to travel, deposit and withdraw money from banks and used it a form of ID, President Volodymyr Zelensky said Wednesday.
"We are among the first to have introduced digital passports, and definitely the first to have given them the same rights as for plastic and paper documents," Zelensky said.
The project, which was handled by the Ministry of Digital Transformation, is accessible through Diya application developed by the government as part of digitalization and computerization of Ukraine.
