KYIV, April 17 – The gas transmission system operator of Slovakia, Eustream, is ready to provide a tariff discount of up to 40% for daily transmission capacities booked at the entry/exit points, creating an attractive opportunity to store gas in Ukrainian underground gas storage (UGS) facilities, Head of the Ukrainian gas transmission system operator (GTSOU) Serhiy Makogon has said.

"A new product from Eustream creates an economically attractive opportunity for European traders to store gas in Ukrainian UGS facilities. Now traders, when buying capacities in Slovakia to transport gas to Ukraine for seasonal gas storage and subsequent export, can get a discount up to 40% for such capacities in Slovakia," he wrote on his Facebook page.
