KYIV, April 20 – Ukraine’s economy is expected to contract 4.5% on the year in 2020 if the government lifts quarantine by the middle of May, but this will deteriorate if the quarantine is extended, analysts said.
Oleksandr Paraschiy, the head of the analytical department of Concorde Capital investment company, said each additional month of quarantine will probably add 2.5 percentage points to the contraction.
