KYIV, April 16 – Retailers in Ukraine are closing some of their stores in the facilities that refused to drop rent that may increase vacancies to 20-30% after lockdown is lifted, executives said.
"There are shopping centers that I think will end quarantine with a vacancy of 20-30%. They are located in the regions, and these are not the worst shopping centers. Now they are terminating the contracts because they have not made concessions to tenants, didn't make any discounts, didn't cancel the rent," UTG Director Yevhenia Loktionova said during a broadcast on Instagram devoted to quarantined retail property.
