KYIV, April 1 – Payments on gross foreign debt in the second quarter of 2020 would decline to $4.37 billion from $6.1 billion in the first quarter, including thanks to the decline in the principal amount of the debt to $3.53 billion from $4.39 billion, the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) reported.
According to the schedule, payments by the government and the National Bank will drop to $1.81 billion from $2.1 billion, including to the IMF – to $0.07 billion from $0.62 billion, although they will rise to $1.17 billion from $0.57 billion on eurobonds due to the maturity of $1 billion U.S. secured eurobonds in May.
