KYIV, March 26 – The European Business Association warned Ukraine of potentially ‘devastating consequences’ if the government goes ahead and shuts down the country’s economy for 30 days due to coronavirus pandemic.
"After all, stopping economic activities can result in devastating consequences for the entire population in a few months… Therefore, we want to believe that the authorities understand all risks when deciding on a 30-day quarantine and a nationwide situation of emergency," the EBA said, commenting on the decision of the government to declare nationwide quarantine until April 24.
