KYIV, March 17 - Ukraine’s gas pipeline operator GTSOU made a shipment of natural gas from Hungary to Slovakia for the first time moving gas between the two markets of the European Union, the company reported Monday.

The development opens door for a potentially lucrative business of short-hauling by using the Ukrainian gas pipelines for shipments between EU nations to ensure greater energy security in the region.
