KYIV, March 13 - Ukraine switched two of its 12 underground gas storage facilities into an accumulation mode amid rising imports and weak demand due to warm weather, Ukrtransgaz reported Friday.
Ukraine added 3.87 million cubic meters of gas to the facilities on Wednesday, which is three months earlier that the usual accumulation schedule.
“Taking into account requirements of market participants, we switched two storage facilities into accumulation mode,” Ukrtransgaz said in a statement. “By doing so, we’ll be able to offer accumulation services to those clients that are interested.”
