KYIV, March 3 – Zaporizhstal, one of the biggest steel making companies, one of the largest taxpayers in Ukraine and in Zaporizhia region, in January-February 2020 reduced output by 3% compared to the same period in 2019, to 562,500 tons.

According to the plant's press release, steel smelting for the two months of 2020 decreased by 1.9%, to 659,200 tons, but cast iron smelting increased by 5.7%, to 770,000 tons.

There were 370,100 tons of cast iron, 321,000 tons of steel, 270,500 tons of rolled steel produced in February.
