DAVOS, Jan 23 – DTEK Energy Holding plans by 2040 to achieve a neutral level of emissions, Maksym Tymchenko, the group's director general, has told Interfax-Ukraine on the sidelines of the Ukrainian Breakfast in Davos organized by the Victor Pinchuk Foundation, WNISEF and Horizon Capital.
"We have recently formulated the Environment Social Governance strategy, we will be ready to present it publicly in the near future. In it we undertake certain obligations, one of the obligations is to be a neutral company in terms of emissions by 2040. This requires serious changes in our structure, and this is a very ambitious statement for a coal company in our country. We believe that we can do this," he said, adding that Ukraine needs to abandon attempts to retrospectively change the rules of the game for investors to "green" generation.
