KYIV, Jan 2 – The interconnection agreement (IA) signed in Brussels on Tuesday in line with the European rules starting from January 1, 2020 between the operators of the gas transmission systems of Ukraine and Slovakia opens doors to virtual reverse gas flows, Naftogaz Ukrayiny CEO Andriy Kobolev has said.

"The main element of the victory here is the elimination of Gazprom between Uzhgorod and Velke Kapusany as a super operator," he said at a press conference in Kyiv on Tuesday.
