KYIV, Dec 27 – Ukrtransnafta in 2020 would cut capital investment over the strengthening of the hryvnia exchange rate, Director General Mykola Havrylenko told Interfax-Ukraine.
Mainly, the program will be implemented according to the agreements already signed in 2019, as well as investment that we cannot stop. Next year will be very difficult for us. This is due to the strengthening of the hryvnia, since we receive more than 90% of the proceeds in euros. We face the shortfall in connection with such a fall [of the exchange rate], and a 15% weakening of the euro against the hryvnia is a collapse for me, more than UAH 600 million. For us, this is very large money," he said.
