KYIV, Dec 18 – The Bioenergy Association of Ukraine (UABio) opposes the reduction of a feed-in tariff for electricity generated from biomass and biogas, the press service of UABio reported Tuesday.
According to the report, instead, the association proposes to extend the feed-in tariff until 2035, without reducing it.
The corresponding official letter was sent by UABio on December 16 to Chairman of the parliamentary committee on energy and housing and utilities services Andriy Gerus, Minister of Energy and Environmental Protection of Ukraine Oleksiy Orzhel, Head of the National Commission of Ukraine for Energy, Housing and Utilities Services Regulation (NCER) Valeriy Tarasiuk and acting chairman of the State Agency of Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving Olena Tovstenko.
