KYIV, Dec 19 – The adoption of bill No. 2543 on amendments to the conditions of the preliminary power purchase agreements (pre-PPA), which is being discussed in parliament, would result in possible restrictions for electricity generation by nuclear power plants (NPPs) in April-May 2020 in the amount of up to 3GW.
"If the bill on alternative energy is passed, we expect a limit of up to 3 GW in April-May. These are three reactors,", acting President of National Nuclear Generating Company Energoatom Pavlo Pavlyshyn told Interfax-Ukraine after public hearings on the extension of the operating life of Yuzhnoukrainsk NPP reactor three in Yuzhnoukrainsk on December 17.
