Akhmetov’s SCM Group denies managing tourism assets in Crimea
Journal Staff Report

KYIV, Dec 17 – Ukrainian businessman Rinat Akhmetov's SCM Group has refuted claims of involvement in the control of assets in Crimea.

"We are addressing all mass media, which have published or cited the article 'Unrecognised Children's Camp,' with a demand to refute any involvement of SCM in the control over the assets located in Crimea. SCM continues exercising every available remedy to defend our property rights in international courts and arbitration institutions," SCM said in a statement.

Following the annexation of Crimea by Russia, SCM's assets were 'nationalized' by the local authorities, of which the group informed the public promptly. "We also commented on the entire process in mass media," SCM said.
