KIEV, Aug. 17 ??“ The US Department of Agriculture forecast the wheat harvest in Ukraine to make 13.5 million tons this year, down 27.8% on the year, and sharply lower than had been predicted by Ukraine.

The Ukrainian government recently predicted the wheat output will be at least 15 million tons, saying that farmers have already collected 13 million tons as of mid-August.
