KYIV, Nov 27 – Ukraine International Airlines (UIA, Kyiv) has completed the reduction of its flight program to save costs and now plans to analyze the economic effect of the cuts, UIA Vice President Serhiy Fomenko said.
"We have already done everything [to reduce flights] ... We will see a real effect for the company in a longer perspective. Last week we flew 17% less than planned. We transferred passengers to the flights of other Ukrainian international airlines and canceled flights, which were affected by the flights bypassing the Russian Federation. Winter in aviation ends on March 26, and in early April we will analyze the results [of flight reduction], see what summer navigation, pre-booking, flight occupancy shows us," Fomenko said.
