KYIV, Nov 20 – Ukrainian coal mining companies in January-October 2019 reduced production of coal by 7.6% (by 2.102 million tons) compared to the same period in 2018, to 25.586 million tons.
The Ministry of Energy and Environment Protection told Interfax-Ukraine coking coal production increased by 3% (by 145,100 tons), to 5.053 million tons, while steam coal output decreased by 9.9% (2.247 million tons), to 20.532 million tons.
At the same time, Krasnolymanska LLC, controlled by Vitaliy Kropachev, continued the practice of hiding data on its activities from the ministry, which began in early September 2018.
