KIEV, Aug. 11 - The European Union approved a 6% increase in Ukraine's quota to export steel this year, representing 60,480 tons of steel carried over from 2005, Interfax-Ukraine reported Monday.

The decision comes into effect on Aug. 20, the law firm Magistr & Partners, which has been providing legal support for Ukraine during its bid to secure the increase.
