KYIV, Oct 22 – Ukraine's major ferroalloy smelters, Nikopol and Zaporizhia plants, reduced their ferroalloy output 0.9% year-on-year in the nine months of 2019, to 772,610 tons, the Ukrainian Association of Producers of Ferroalloys and Other Electrometallurgy Products (UkrFA) has told Interfax-Ukraine.

Overall silicon manganese production fell 2.6%, to 633,960 tons, while ferromanganese output rose 10.8%, to 64,060 tons. Output of 45% ferrosilicon grew 0.2%, to 56,370 tons, but manganese metal production fell 10.7% to 5,110 tons.
