MOSCOW, Oct 16 – Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak and European Commission Vice President for Energy Union Maros Sefcovic have discussed the transit of Russian gas through Ukraine to the European Union, the Energy Ministry said in a statement.

The two also discussed general gas cooperation issues and relations within the BRELL project.

The next round of gas talks between Russia, the EU, and Ukraine will take place on October 28.
