KYIV, Oct 16 – Access to financial resources for farmers and agricultural producers within the framework of the European Investment Bank (EIB) project for EUR400 million could be opened from 2020, Inna Meteleva, the Deputy Minister of Economic Development, Trade and Agriculture, said.
"The EIB announced the start of cooperation with Ukraine on a project for EUR400 million and since 2015 a number of negotiations have been held to determine the structure, technical executives, and the model for providing financing. Today this technical part has been practically completed, an agent bank has been defined, and the next step is to determine five to six partner banks that will implement this program. We have reached the final stage. The project will be implemented starting in 2020," she said at a briefing at the Cabinet of Ministers.
