KYIV, Sept 24 – The share of non-cash payments in the volume of transactions with payment cards in Ukraine has reached almost 50%, Deputy Governor of the NBU Sergii Kholod has said during the Visa Cashless Forum in Kyiv.
According to him, eight out of ten transactions with payment cards are non-cash.
At the same time, Kholod noted that contactless payment services are becoming increasingly popular in Ukraine and in the world due to the safety, speed and convenience of such operations. This, in turn, became possible thanks to the emergence of new players in the market, such as, for example, Apple Pay and Google Pay.
