KYIV, Sept 20 – State-owned enterprise Ukrkhimtransammiak has won an arbitration dispute in the International Commercial Arbitration Court at the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry against Togliattiazot, the largest ammonia producer in Russia, for the amount of more than $190 million, according to a press release of Integrites law firm representing the interests of the Ukrainian enterprise.

The company recalled that the dispute arose because of a long-term contract for the transit of ammonia through the territory of Ukraine. The arbitration proceedings were initiated by Ukrkhimtransammiak in 2017, after which Togliattiazot filed several counterclaims. Both sides supported the revision of the tariff for ammonia transit through the Ukrainian part of the Togliatti-Odesa ammonia pipeline prescribed in the contract.
