KYIV, Aug 23 – The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) has found that top managers of some state-owned coalmines had embezzled over UAH 1.5 billion from the national budget using the public procurement procedure.

According to a Friday report of the press center of the SBU, it was found that in 2016-2019, officials of PJSC Lysychanskvuhillia, SOE Myrnohradvuhillia, SOE Coalmine named after Surgay, SOE Pervomaiskvuhillia and SOE Mine Administration Pivdennodonbaske No. 1 organized a mechanism for embezzlement of funds of enterprises through the public procurement procedure.
