KIEV, Aug. 5 ??“ The Regions Party, a moderate pro-Russian group, joined forces with Our Ukraine Friday to approve a resolution allowing foreign troops to enter Ukraine for a NATO-led military training exercise later this year.

The vote is a victory for President Viktor Yushchenko as it clears the way for his pro-Western foreign policy of boosting cooperation with NATO and possibly joining the alliance within three years.
