KYIV, Aug 21 – The Ukrainian energy system is capable of functioning without the supply of nuclear fuel from the Russian Federation, Ukraine's Minister of Energy and Coal Industry Ihor Nasalyk has stated.

"If Russia does not supply nuclear fuel to us at all, we will be able to provide [its supply from other countries] and operate without the supply of nuclear fuel from the Russian Federation," he said during a briefing in Kyiv.
